A woman in Larkspur, California, was arrested after ignoring “No Parking” signs at a construction site, leading to a chaotic confrontation and a series of poor decisions that ended in handcuffs. The incident was recounted by the site foreman on Reddit. He explained that his crew is building a house 250 feet uphill, accessible only by footpath, and must carry all materials by hand. To ease the burden, two street-level parking spots were reserved for construction use and clearly marked as no parking zones.Despite the signage, the woman parked her vehicle in one of the reserved spots during a school pickup. When asked to move, she refused, saying, “Take a chill pill, dude,” and insisted she would “only be a few minutes.”Anticipating a delivery, the foreman instructed the lumber truck driver to block her in. Using a nearby Porta Potty and another parked car, they boxed her vehicle in. As workers began unloading, the foreman called parking enforcement to document the situation. When the woman realized she was trapped and unable to open her driver-side door, she climbed across the seats, loaded her child into the back, and demanded the truck be moved. The driver explained he couldn’t move with an unsecured load.Frustrated, the woman attempted to drive off. She reversed into the Porta Potty and tried to mount the curb, only to get stuck—just as the parking officer arrived. The officer witnessed the incident and promptly arrested her.The woman was charged with child endangerment, reckless driving, destruction of property, and driving with a suspended license. Her car was towed, and her child was released to a family member.
